• General Appearance: Similar to the species they were developed from, the common River Otter, they are small and slender, with the exception of a broad tail as long as the rest of their body, covered in a thin layer of fur in shades of brown. On the fur are familial patterns of brilliant white fur, usually in the form of stacked Chevrons. Usually stand between 40 and 60cm tall, with an additional 60 to 80cm tail when fully grown. Mass of a fully developed adult is between 4.5 and 9kg. Average muzzle diameter is 4 to 6cm.
